Arpita Mohapatra

Arpita Mohapatra  is an adventure sports personality. Arpita have mastered all the areas of extreme adventure – mountaineering, water sports, aero-sports, cycling and scuba diving.

Arpita hailing from Amaria, a little hamlet in Balasore district. Arpita has been associated with Special Olympics since 2011 where she has identified and groomed talents from all over Odisha in several games and sporting events.   Arpita took professional courses in mountaineering, water sports, aero sports and scuba diving at various institutes, including the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Regional Water Sports Institute, Himalayan Institute of Aero sports and the Institute of Professional Association for Diving Instructors. Arpita name is etched in the Limca Book of Records for Mountain Biking (Cycling).

At present participating as the Head Coach of the Indian Girls Contingent in Aquatics in the World Games of Special Olympics being held in Los Angeles, USA from 22nd July to 2nd August 2015.

Sudarsan Pattnaik

Sudarsan Pattnaik is a World Renowned sand artist. He was awarded the Padma Shri by Government of India in 2014.

He established “The Golden Sand Art Institute” which is first of its nature in India. His sculptures include environmental crisis, famous festivals, national integrity and religious tolerance.

Sudarsan has represented India in 50 international Sand Sculpture championship and festivals all around the world and Won 27 (Twenty seven) championship prizes for the country. During the year 2013, he won 1st prize (gold medal) at Saint Peters Burg in 12th International sand sculpture competition at Russia, Danish grand prizes at International Sand competition Championship, Denmark and won Moscow museum prize at Russia. In 2011 he won 1st prize and public prize at Denmark and also won double medal at Solo International sand art contest in Mervala 2012. In 2010, he won the gold medal for people choice award at 3rd Moscow World sand sculpture championship. He also won three medal in North American solo sand sculpture championship, People choice prize in Canada and Moscow. In 2009 Won the Korea sand sculpture award. In 2008 he won the World champion title at USF World sand sculpture championship, Berlin. Apart from this he is the 5 times winner of people choice award at Berlin, which is a record.

Dr. PK Mahanandia

Dr. PK Mahanandia who is currently an Adviser to the Swedish Government, has entered into the legends and folklore of contemporary Odisha as a Painter and a Cyclist. He cycled for close to 5 months across continents to meet his love and future wife Charlotte in Sweden. 

Dilip Tirkey

Dilip Tirkey is currently a Rajya Sabha MP who has Captained Indian Hockey Team and has the distinction of being the first from the Adivasi Communities to represent India in three Olympics. He has also received Padma Shree for his outstanding contribution to Indian Hockey.

Sidhanta Mohapatra

Sidhanta Mohapatra has been a Super Star of Odia Cinema for two decades. A Two Time Lok Sabha MP, Mr. Mohapatra is known for his films, social work and political activism.

Nila Madhab Panda

Nila Madhab Panda is an Internationally Acclaimed and Award Winning New Age Film Maker from Odisha. His forthcoming Bollywood Film Kaun Kitne Panee Meinis based on the issue of Water in India. He is cycle enthuistic and participated in various national and international cylothon.

Minati Mohapatra

Minati Mohapatra is an Internationally Acclaimed Cyclist who has won several Gold Medals in National and International Cycling Competitions. The Arjuna Awardee continues to promote Cycling in Odisha.

Jogabyasa Bhoi

Jogabyasa Bhoi is an Internationally Acclaimed Mountaineer from Odisha. Having the distinction of Scaling Mt. Everest, Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt. Elbrus and Mt. Aconcagua, Mr. Bhoi works social issues like Women Empowerment and Environmental Protection.

Sabir Bux

Sabir Bux is an Internationally Acclaimed Scuba Diver and is a three times Limca Book of Record holder. He has trained National Disaster Response Force in Deep Sea Diving, Flood Rescue, Under Water Search and Recovery.

Manas Kumar Sahoo
